## Background

### Where the lens comes from.

Financial planning taught me to read a system by its incentives, costs, controls, and exclusions. Engineering taught me which parts were real, which parts were theater, and which parts could be rebuilt. I work there now, where finance, software, design, and AI meet.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. I include it to explain how I think. This site does not offer financial planning, investment advisory, tax, accounting, or legal services.

### Simplicity

I prefer simple, inspectable structures that keep their shape under pressure and stay cheap to change.

### Accessibility

Accessibility and localization are part of the work. They decide whether real people can actually use what I build.

### Judgment

Good work starts with clear constraints, real evidence, and honest tradeoffs.

### Resistance

I am professionally against rent-seeking complexity: structures that protect insiders, extract from users, or turn institutional weight into a substitute for value.

### Independence

I have worked close enough to large systems to respect their discipline and distrust their self-justifying habits. The work is to keep the rigor and remove the dependency.
